Review of The Four Feathers

I just finished watching The Four Feathers. You may have gathered that I enjoy watching movies. This movie has not received the acclaim that it deserves. It stars the now deceased Heath Ledger and Kate Hudson. They both give stellar performances in character styles that are new to them both.

Besides the acting, the scenery and the plot are superb. Set in both England and Northern Africa, the film shows excellent shots of scenery and landmarks in both locations. The plot is an excellent and believable story. With what is happening in the United States in the reaction to the Iraqi War, this film is now time appropriate. I highly recommend watching this movie. If you do not like violence, this movie is not for you. Although the violence is restrained, the scenes that contain violence are graphic.
